About Chuck Byron Youth Art Foundation

Our intentions are to reward and encourage youth, from ages K – 12th grade, who have a desire to create art in any medium. Whether they love painting or drawing, photography, or three dimensional arts, we connect them with established artists to learn hands-on art techniques, we take them fishing to learn more about the ocean and interpreting their experience to their art. Youth Artists learn the “art of fishing”

Twenty five youth artists went fishing on the Seawatch out of Seaforth Landing last week. With the collaborated funds of the Chuck Byron Youth Art program, the San Diego Rod & Reel Club, and the Friends of Rollo Fdn. sponsored the kids going out fishing on a half day trip. Most of the kids were participants in the 2010 Youth Marine Art Contest and this trip was particularly special due to having both artists, Matt Kotch and Greg Guterriez on board to talk about “the art of fishing”.
